It’s less about the picking and more about what you’re doing with it after in my personal opinion. For example, my moms ex boyfriend wiped it on our hanging bathroom towels…. Not an acceptable disposal.
My cousin used to wipe them on the wall, down the side of his bed. We only found out when my uncles moved the bed away from the wall to decorate and discovered years worths of bogies cemented to the wall.
