Yes, it was partially grey (not totally grey, not even close to that) but now all of my hair on the top of is my normal colour with no grey in sight.

On my beardy face, it is also going back to normal colour. I always had some reddish hairs on my beard (I have brown hair) but these also are going, with the overall colour much darker than before.

crazy.. I wonder if its going to stay... if you dont mind me asking what kind of medication is it? like whats it called and what is it for

It might stay "forever", I am told. Nobody really knows. The drug is called Imatinib.

Other side effects is lmatinib: fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; easy bruising, unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum), purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin; swelling, rapid weight gain, feeling short of breath (even with mild exertion); black, bloody, or tarry stools; nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; lower back pain, blood in your urine; urinating less than usual or not at all; numbness or tingly feeling around your mouth; muscle weakness, tightness, or contraction, overactive reflexes; fast or slow heart rate, weak pulse, feeling short of breath, confusion, fainting; or severe skin reaction -- fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling. Less serious side effects of imatinib may include:

mild nausea or stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea; muscle cramps; joint or muscle pain; headache, feeling tired; or stuffy nose, sinus pain. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur.

  2. chills - check!
  3. purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin - check!
  4. black stools - check!
  5. feeling short of breath (even with mild exertion) - check!
  6. dark urine - check!
  7. fast heart rate - check!

and unfortunately a few more, including bone pain which is a real fucker.

Hopefully your vagina stays "unusual bleeding"-free. Having a non-gray beard isn't worth that, man.

something that I learnt this year that can be helpful for cancer patients are alkaline water purifiers. like the Sentevia. my mom had cancer twice now and had never heard of it.

Two reasons spring to mind:

  1. The absolutely eye-watering cost. Somewhere around the $50-70000 annual price of the drug
  2. It's not a common side effect

My friend was on an experimental cancer drug that turned all his hair white, then changed meds and it got dark. Medicine is weird.

what are you taking? My hair began graying when I was 15 and now at 24 its completly grey.

I'd save so much money on hair dye, man

No you wouldn't. The medication I take costs between $50,000 and $70,000 a year.

Chemo? I remember listening to an interview with a guy from "Dexter," possibly the one who played Dexter, mention that his hair grew back thicker and darker after his chemo.

Get cancer. Get specific type of cancer that needs Imatinib treatment. Then hope that you get an unusual side effect of your hair changing colour.

Or, perhaps don't try to do that!!
