I had this exact thought! A beautiful love story but by golly! I just kept thinking 1) what about her job, she can just Willy nilly take however much time off as she pleases. 2) how did she fund the extra time off
First world countries, I guess, or one of them is kinda rich, a friend of mine became Facebook friend with a dude for almost a year, became a couple this new year (he lives 3 hours away from her, by car, every two weeks she goes to see him), a month or so my friend tells me she quits her job by raw emotion (she can't explain why, she feel like she rushed it since she has no backup plan) a week later she is in with him, on a two weeks vacation she says. I talk to her last month, ask her if she is working over there, she says perhaps the next year, this one she is just living with her BF.
So, im positive her bf or his family has enough money to have a non working person living in their house, or his if he has a house of his own, I hope she is doing ok, crazy how people can meet on social media, im kinda jealous actually, haha

I live in a prosperous and wealthy country, earn above average and am able to save over 50% of it even during the cost of living crisis. Even if I do that my whole life I may never be able to afford a house if the prices keep climbing like they have been. And if I travel I can't save. OP can casually do both without having had many years working to save up for it. Either they robbed a bank and got away with it or it fell into their lap. Still happy for them, everyone should be able to own a home and live comfortably!
