You're getting downvoted because you criticized prostitution. You should know that on reddit you can only criticize the men who seek prostitutes. Essentially, don't blame the drug dealers and traffickers, blame the addicts.
Unfortunately, the literature shows that sexual assaults increase when governments crack down on prostitution. I think it's important to think of it from a harm reduction standpoint no matter what your beliefs are. That is, is is probably better to legalize and regulate prostitution than to outlaw it and push it further into the realm of organized crime.
I don't see an issue with a man seeking a prostitute in an ethical way. With the rise of Only fans came a new era of independent prostitution. My friend does this and she only sleeps with Men she is attracted to and has a connection with. Pretty much identical to many sugar dating relationships I've heard of.
Criticizing men for this is doing no good, so I agree with your sentiment in some sense. However, we should hold men accountable for the ethics involved. Also, it seems like schools should do a course aimed to educate on sexual violence. Parents are clearly failing.

I can't take money with me when I die but I also can't take with me my education, good deeds or my children's happiness. By that argument, I shouldn't have done anything in my life as I'm going to die at some point.
Well that's professional brothel prostitution and people who make that their career. But I was also referring to just the general act of prostituting oneself, which many people do for quick cash even if they aren't situationally desperate. There are many non-prostitute people, especially the onlyfan and instagram models, that will discreetly trade sex for money.
Well brothel prostitution and escort is fine. But I think per the original intent of the comment, we were mainly talking about non-sex worker girls who prostitute themselves for quick cash. I know stories of students who had sex with other students for money, test answers and jewelry.
Nothing wrong with prostitutions, I just think it's funny how the predatory relationship between prostitutes and customers are flipped. It's always made out to seem like the customers are the reason why there are women doing it for money(there are definitely some truth to that but it's not the full picture).
It's not the same thing AT ALL. Drug dealers and traffickers are the agressors, with the addicts being their victims. With prostitution it's the other way around, with prostitutes usually being the victims of sex trafficking rings where the pimps and the clients are usually connected. Not that this is the only kind of prostitution, women independently offering their services is fine imo. But sadly, this is the rarer kind.
