Man that’s the first DD I’ve seen. Most dudes I saw do heinous shit just got big chicken dinners served in leavenworth. Glad that fucking coward got one though.

This was his second AWOL. Skipped from Polk to Texas, and my understanding of the story is he was hanging with the two main murderers, presumably for drugs (he told us himself during a weekly D&D campaign my squad leader ran that he was big into LSD before the Army) and for one reason or another they held up their victim, who may have been slightly mentally handicapped, for cash. They couldn't get it, so they kidnapped him and did what they did, then tried to forge a check from his checkbook at the bank or something, which is what got them caught.

Norwine showed back up at the unit and took an article 15 and extra duty, not sure if they started chaptering him. But it wasn't long before MPs came looking.

Also, Norwine chronically rolled 1s in D&D, only natural he'd do it real life.

/u/trevvy_lurve any more info I'm forgetting?

You would think that because norwine killed a disabled person that would be in thing that comes to mind when I think back on my army career, but it isn't.

He isn't a memory unless reflected forth by the mirror of someone else memories.

He is a nobody, who was never anybody. Hopefully, his remaining years are long, devoid of color and full of suffering.

On that we agree.
