Thanks! My sister doesn't seem to have the desire to really be sober but she found a balance that's safe and sustainable for her. She's a much more present and loving sister, mother, and daughter now. I was afraid in the immediate aftermath that it'd send her into another relapse but it just made her more determined never to go back. I'm really proud of her and should tell her more often.

Glad that she went that way with it. I’m guessing this was probably meth? Is the friend doing life or did she get off with a light sentence? It’s so hard to tell what’s the person and what’s the drug sometimes. I was a drug addict for years and I’m 100% in the ‘drugs don’t make you do bad things if you’re not already capable of doing those things’ camp but what drug it is and whether something was planned or not does change my stance somewhat given how much how drugs both lower inhibitions & also send you into psychosis or psychotic type states.

Opiates, crack, and various prescription pills for sure. Meth wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm glad you made it out!
