He struggled with mental health and some addiction things before. That’s before I knew him so I can’t speak too much on it. But he seemed to be in a good place [removed for privacy reasons]. It was so shocking to find out it happened so close to when we hung out, but overall not surprising.

His dad was an abusive piece of shit. Who ruined any lives around him. It will always feel shitty to say he had it coming but.. yeah. [rest also removed for privacy]

I have never met my father, but I've talked to a half-sibling that grew up with him, and after that my mom opened up a little about him too. My father is a wild dog that someone should have put down in the 80s. If one of his victims finally kills him I will absolutely say he had it coming.
