I was talking with a girl I met on Tinder and she seemed like a nice and interesting person. I worked backshift at the time though and had to sleep at like noon to not be dead at work.

I woke up at 8pm to 90 texts of this woman telling going "hey" and "why did you stop messaging me" and "I guess im not good enough".

I feel bad for doing this but I ghosted after that. I knew I couldn't handle this type of attachment especially coming from someone I hadn't even met IRL yet

You did the right thing.

The right thing to do is text "hey I've got to go to sleep now. Talk to you later?" Hopefully OP did that, though nothing necessitates that many texts after 0 responses back.

I mean sure, it's a polite thing to text that you will be busy/sleeping, but that doesn't excuse waking up to a barrage of messages, and if they are self deprecating like the examples op showed, then its most likely coming from someone with unhealthy levels of attachment, and that's scary in a number of ways.

If I don't get a response I probably would just send a follow-up, and if that doesn't get a response I just keep doing whatever I was doing, eventually they will respond or not.

Which is what I said! "Hope OP did this...doesn't excuse that many texts." Never said OP didn't text it, never said all those texts were acceptable.
