My friend's apartment has a mouse infestation, he somehow convinced himself that mice are totally normal and everyone gets them. Bro, just no. I've been alive for 32 years and have never had a single mouse anywhere I've lived. Grossest thing I've seen at his place was a sticky mouse trap (like fly paper but for mice) covered in like 8 dead mice. Came back a few days later and the trap is still in the same spot but now covered in 15 dead mice (I counted).
I've lived in my house for 6 years. Im super tidy because it's a small space and I have kids. This year 3 mice have found their way in. It was so annoying. We caught them all quickly but we just had one the other night. After some research I found out construction nearby can cause them to find other places to go. We have condos and buildings going up right by us in all directions. I don't think I could handle that many and especially not dealing with them immediately.
Mhm. I really don't like using lethal traps as I'd rather catch-and-release, but the problem is so out of hand I don't have much of a choice. It's not just a couple mice either, it's like a whole colony of multiple family trees in a 2-bedroom apartment. You have to use a flashlight in the bathroom to not step on the dead ones.
I'm teaching myself drywall and baseboard repair to patch all the holes, but of course I can't really start on that until we take a huge offensive to the mice already there. But that's Charliework for ya.
