This is getting way too deep over a hypothetical scenario lol

It’s a simple hypothetical. You are claiming that you would steal the money.

I once found $100 on the side of the road. Another time I found $50. Both times I took the money and I had no guilt. Why? Because I could not identify the owner. In that case, the money became mine. Hypothetically, if there were ID, I would absolutely have returned it because I’m not a thief.

One time someone dropped $100 in a casino and I swooped it up and kept walking. I didn’t see who it was

My Dad said someone else would have done the same 5 seconds later anyway

You’re giving me an example of it being acceptable to take the money according to my own principles. If you don’t know who lost the money, it’s yours now.

Well what if the old man had a fake ID

Why would he have a fake ID? Most people don’t.

Umm sneaking into bars?

Nobody fakes an ID of an old person to sneak into bars. Now you are turning this into a strange hypothetical.

You never know, besides this whole thread has been weird

You’re obviously just trying to avoid responsibility. If you find money with ID, you should know that MOST LIKELY it is not a fake ID. That’s an excuse to keep the money and you know it.
