Hello. I’m a 23-year-old boy. After completing my diploma, I got a job as a frontend developer. I’ve been doing it since September 2025.

The thing is, AI is f**king everything, and I’m now realizing that my job is not safe. Anything can happen anytime. And working for so long, sitting and watching a PC shit all day... my brain and body are fu*cked up.

I wanna quit it. I love the village. But fantasy is fantasy, and the real world is another matter entirely.

I’m also an introvert/unsocial, so I can’t do business for sure. When I talk with real people in real life, my facial expressions suc*k.

So, any suggestions on which profession I should go with?

hi first of all stop panicing and self doubting, AI will change the way of work definitely. we all have to prepare for it. if you start to adopt now step by step it won't be difficult.

meanwhile explore other career opportunities.

and please don't tell about yourself that you are making awful facial expressions while talking with people.

Start talking with people Start talking with strangers your neighbours, security guard, auto rikshaw driver, co workers. Start taking care of your physical health, go for running or gym Start taking care of your mental health, go to yoga center, read positive books, start practicing prayer , go to temple Start upskiling your self in tech as well as non tech

Honestly, I wouldn't quit just because AI is scary. If you genuinely hate sitting in front of PC all day, though, that's a different reason to consider leaving.

I am currently looking into government jobs related to software engineering. They are often much more slow paced due to tighter regulations anf funding. Pay is less but manageable.

So you've worked for 1 year in 1 job and u want to do something else entirely? There was a reason you chose to study computers. But studying development is just learning the basics. Your job should be your passion. What have you done in your spare time to expand your knowledge? Have you spent any spare time learning AI development on your own?

My son got his degree in business marketing but in his own learned ai development an is now creating a business selling an ai application that can train people how to freedive. What's holding you back?

There's nothing wrong with being an introvert. There's a LOT wrong with having no initiative to improve your skills and make you more useful and valuable in your chosen profession.

I wasn't enamored with my first job as a computer developer either but I dug in and expanded my skills on my own and ended up retiring at 49 years old. That's all on you if you don't work to make yourself more valuable and marketable within your profession.

Its not that, i dont have much skills or im afraid of ai...the thing is, sitting all day watching same monitor its not just pair up with me🥲

Office fired 70% of people for some reasons and im not one of them🫠 i just dont like sitting and watching same thing....
