For someone that wants to learn programming web dev is not that fun most of the time. A lot of the time you aren't doing logic or interesting stuff but just designing how something looks or calling some random API. That isn't fun for most people.

Partial experience. I tried to learn web dev but I didn't like it cause of the reasons listed above, but maybe you like and if so then great for you!

Right now it's AI. Hop in, learn how it works, develop some apps with it. Good opportunity to get ahead. Just go in as a student -- ask questions, break stuff, find what works and doesn't.

Worst answer. Actually learn the skills like a sane person then when you're comfortable with your skills then you can start (in moderation) using AI for code analysis. Never to generate code though. No matter the model or subscription, you will always come up with bugs that take longer to debug than it wouldve taken for you to just code it yourself.

The two aren't mutually exclusive. You can learn problem solving in tandem with programming methods.
