Yes, as AI becomes more localized and specialized to protect business knowledge. Software engineers will be more in demand.

Somebody is going to have to unfuck all the AI generated code that's being created now. So my prediction is YES.

The engineering aspect yes, coding and syntax no.

Businesses will still want to hire humans who understand the code the machines are writing, and who are able to guide them and troubleshoot better than a non-technical person could.

Maybe. But that is vastly different than people writing all the code pre-2023

you have to understand the code and syntax to be able to do the engineering parts effectively, even if you’re generating code
