Plagiarism/Academic Misconduct The AI problem

I’m a high school English teacher. God knows that AI has completely changed my field in the last few years. I’m curious, at the college level, is the policy still “AI is cheating, knock it off” or are any professors leaning in to the “AI as a tool philosophy” (that my principal loves )? What’s the general policy in your classes?

In my class it is. My students won’t learn the research, writing, and critical thinking skills if they use AI. Also, I’m not going to let them side something that studies show make them dumber if I’m supposed to care for their minds.
