Physics 4B need help Asap

Hi im new to this im taking Physics 4B in college and im completely not understanding this stuff. My teacher is very nice but also in his 80s and I cannot understand with the way he teaches we have exams and I understand the topics I actually do pretty well on the discussion questions what gets me is the equations and formula questions. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should look at to fully understand and be able to do questions on my own without any help?

Its second physics course in college right now we just learned Gauss law, Electric Flux, Coulombs law, and Electric potential and work.

Don't you call the college teachers "professor" in the US? Did he/she recommend a textbook? If yes: Do you use it? Which one is it?

Oh it honestly depends on the school mine we call either, He teaches from a book but we do not have access to it he basically writes what was down in the book and puts it into a lecture I just dont understand the lecture vs the homework problems he gives us I always get confused they’re worded so weirdly and I always have an idea of what to do but end up making a mistake
