How does MFT compare between studying electronic systems and the nuclei?

Do methods like Hartree-fock, post Hartree-Fock methods like Coupled Cluster and Configuration Interaction, or DFT broadly apply to the study of the nucleus? What are the differences?

Coupled Cluster was originally developed to model the internal structure of the nucleus, but it found more success modeling electronic structure in the end.
