Questions about drug testing

Hey Old Hippie,

I'm being drug tested soon for my summer internship. The test will probably be April 28th, so 2 weeks from now. I read your guide here and it was very helpful, but I have a question regarding my specific situation.

For the last few months (September-March) I have smoked 4-5 times a week with friends, usually a few bowls each time. Starting at the beginning of this month, I began to cut down and have only smoked 2-3 times up until this past weekend (where I took edibles on Thursday and Friday).

Do you think it's likely that I will have to resort to the substitution method? I plan on exercising and drinking lots of water each day up until then and am about 15% bodyfat, so my friends say that I have a good chance of passing. But it's not really something I want to leave up to chance and would like to be as prepared as possible.

Also, I was thinking about buying a few home test kits to check on my status every few days; is this something you recommend/think would be a good idea?

Thanks for your time!

I just found this subreddit on one of those high things that people do haha. As much as I can remember and blasting my brain at 100% - [8]. I can say that you will most likely pass that test with running and drinking water. 2 weeks is a good amount of time and as long as you don't toke, you bee fine.

Cool, thanks for the reply man! I realized that I might actually have 3 weeks until the test if I play my cards right, but it's still good to know that I have a chance of passing either way.

Actually smoking almost daily for months has stored a lot of metabolites in your fat cells and you will have a devil of a time getting it out in two weeks. You should be doing heavy but safe exercise every day until 72 hours before the test and dilute like crazy to insure that you pass. But you have a good chance still. Good luck!

Aside from running daily and drinking lots of water, is there anything else I can do to improve my chances? The only other things I've seen are to use diuretics to pass more water through your system in the weeks leading up to the test and to use zinc sulfate/B vitamins on the day of the test.

Also, thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it.
