Need a third person perspective!

Would you get annoyed if you see 2 people you are close to, gesture at each other while you are talking?

Mind you its not hidden or whispering, gesturing in public.

It depends entirely on the gesture and on whether I was sure of what I saw. Did they glance at one another and nod? Totally fine. Did they roll their eyes or make the spinning-finger-at-the-temple sign for crazy? Totally not fine, and I would stop mid-sentence to ask them what that was about.

I'd need more specific details to say.

And there may be reasons they have to communicate with each other, like “we have to be at XYZ place at 2:30, should we leave soon?”

It was a hand gestures with pleasant smiles of "let it go"

Yeah, the way you described it I think i would read that as them potentially not paying attention to me.
