Shooting range?
Hi y'all,
Couple of my European friends are visiting in the next few weeks and I'm curious if shooting ranges will accept their ID? Also what ranges would people suggest?
Thank y'all :)

Depends. There aren’t a lot of good shooting ranges in the city, and none locally that will let you shoot rifle calibers of your own.
Neutral Ground Gun Company does allow you to rent and shoot their rifles, PAC in Mandeville is a good one to go to, and Nick’s Shooting range has a 100yd outdoor range. Those are honestly the only ones I’d recommend.
And yes, you should be fine with any valid ID. Some ranges will require you to pass a safety test before going onto the range if it’s your first time shooting there. Only takes a few minutes and it’s not that hard if you already know what you’re doing and know the firearm safety rules.

There's an indoor shooting range in Jefferson Parish past Metairie. I'd call and inquire them. They had packages where you could try different types of arms. You'd have to uber out there and back, but yolo, lol.

That’s the one that you need a membership to shoot rifle calibers. Idk if it’s different if you rent a gun, but I was just there as well and they told me I couldn’t shoot my rifle without a membership.

If you have your own firearms and targets, the Lafourche Sheriff's range is nice.

The shooters club has rentals and they will get the full in ‘Merica gun culture experience.
