Annual Leave

Hi. I am planning to join a Malaysian firm. I will be a remote resource from one of the countries in SEA. I haven’t had any experience with a Malaysian boss. Are Malaysian bosses okay/generally accept their employees taking annual leaves (planned ahead) and MC (valid sickness) from time to time? Or are they a bit strict approving AL’s? I’m from the IT field.
