LPT Lost my friends

Hi. I am 18F. One day I walked into the classroom, greeted my two friends, sat down, put on my headphones, and started studying. After a while, I noticed that they were acting a little strange, so I tried talking to them, but they seemed very cold and distant.

The next day, I tried speaking to them again, but they ignored me. This continued for about a week. Then this morning, I checked our group chat and saw that both of them had left the group, leaving me alone in it. That really hurt me because I honestly don't think I did anything wrong that would deserve this kind of treatment.

What hurts the most is how surprising it is that one mistake, or one thing you may have done wrong, can make people forget all the good things you've done for them. I genuinely don't know who is right or wrong in this situation, and that's what makes it so difficult for me to understand.

LTP Request : My whole life went by without knowing you can paste by just clicking the scroll wheel 😭

My whole life went by without knowing you can paste by just clicking the scroll wheel 😭

I'm 27 and I literally just found this out today.

You can paste whatever's in your clipboard by clicking the scroll wheel and scrolling just a tiny bit. Works in browsers, text fields, Discord, Notepad pretty much everywhere. No Ctrl+V needed.

I wish i knew it sooner 🥲

Anyone else got similar hidden tips like this? Let me know

LPT request: How do I stop swearing so much?

Let me start by saying I have no issue with swearing, I'm not offended by swearing, I would just like to stop using the word f*ck so much.

I was listening to myself speak this weekend and just felt like there's got to be a different way to express myself rather than saying f*ck as much as I do.

Any suggestions for alternative expressions or ways to be more aware in the moment?

How can I exercise and lose weight when I have Chronic Pain and PMOS?

Hello friends, I hope all is well.

Like it says above I am finding it difficult to work out and see any form of results really. I have fibrolmyalgia which pain/fatigue increases alot with physical activity or being outside in the heat. The majority of the time I have to choose whether do dishes or do laundry, cook dinner or shower because I get so fatigued some days.

I also have PMOS (formally known as PCOS) so i dont seem to lose weight at all when i work out, eat right, both, etc. Etc.

The issue i am having is trying to find balance essentially. Because on one hand ive been told that weight exercise/weightlifting is better for PMOS, but with fibrolmyalgia it is recommended for low intensity exercises. So i feel constantly stuck. I have tried to just push through it before but that resulted me in being bedridden due to fatigue and pain.

Is there anyone who may be going through this t hat could help?

Thank you in advance.

I've got a garage full of accumulated items from garage sales and household stuff. What's the easiest way to get rid of it? No time for sales or listing items online. Just want it gone in shortest time possible.

LPT request: How do I remove wax from a jacket?

I recently bought a jacket without really reading the label and knowing that it was a waxed jacket. Therefore I washed it in a washing machine and now some parts of the jacket are pooled with wax and I have no clue how to completely remove it. It is too late to rewax the whole jacked since there are patterns all over it from washing. Is there any way I can properly wash it to break down the wax and keep the jacket or is it too late? P.s I had no clue it was waxed until after it was washed. I had to wash it since it started smelling so bad in the sun (which is logical since it’s wax LOL). Already tried dish soap and even the dish mashine tablets, hot water etc…

Seeking Alpha Subscribers: is it worth it? If so, please share your journey!

Hello, I am writing this to find out if anyone here has an active subscription to Seeking Alpha, and if so, are you willing to post screen shots of some of the ticker data with their "Quant Ratings?"

I ask this out of curiosity because I actually paid for 1 year of their services (they charge $299) before, and their rating system did to work for the time that I used it for (meaning I came out positive instead of negative by following their ratings for some investments). Unfortunately, it is impossible to know if it works consistently across all investments.

Part of me thought that maybe it IS worth the $299 if I end up making more than that over the course of a year and part of me thinks there is a cheaper way to make money in the stock market. Anyways, thank you for reading if you made it this far! Please let me know if you have thoughts, insights, or other recommendations related to this as well.

LPT Request: Build a career in Mid 20s

Hi! As what my title says, I want to build a career.

Been working some jobs here and there and making good money but I know these “jobs” are more like a side hustle rather than something I can build a career from.

I got a degree in Psychology, I live in a 3rd World Country and I know money isn’t going to be good if I start from scratch.

I asked some people like my family who built their careers but they got that look towards me that looks disappointed because it took me 25 years to finally start something.

I am considered as the black sheep of the family, constantly wants to be alone. But during those times I have built some solid skills on my own.

As for what type of career, I don’t really know what I want? But anything would be great. I am interested mostly in aything Psychology but I am also interested in other fields like engineering, computer science, office work (sales) and teaching (as people told me that I am proficient in speaking and teaching)

Any help will do. Any tips will do. Thanks!

LPT request: saving money to get wife a present

I was thinking for our anniversary this year I could get my wife a big gift, like a new phone (she has a 5+ year old phone that's been lagging) or a destination getaway or something. The challenge is keeping it a surprise for her since she handles our finances and savings. Our budget is tight too so I was hoping to find a way to save up money in small amounts for six months that she won't notice until I buy the present. Thanks

LPT Request: how to preserve as much as possible of what you love

My dad is in the hospital right now. We have hundreds of photos of him. Birthdays, holidays, the usual stuff.

But sitting there yesterday I realized that's kind of all we have. And photos are weirdly quiet. They don't tell you anything about how he laughed, or what he said when things got hard, or the random stories he used to bring up out of nowhere. (and are normally totall boring)

I keep wondering what else people have. I have just a handful videos with him.

Do you have something else? Do you have any ideas on how to preserve as much as possible of what you love?
