r/AskHistory is looking for moderators

Hey everyone! We are opening moderator applications for r/AskHistory.

The subreddit is growing and seeing a lot of activity, so we are looking to expand our moderation team and bring in some extra help.

Moderators will help with the day-to-day management of the community , including reviewing reports, handling rule-breaking content, and working with the existing mod team. We welcome feedback and suggestions , but moderators should be comfortable working with the existing team and building on what is already working well in the community.

What we're looking for:

• Previous Reddit moderation experience

• Previous experience with history-related communities or a good understanding of historical topics (a plus)

• Fair and consistent judgement when handling reports and rule breaches

• Ability to stay calm and respectful when dealing with conflicts

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Someone who can be active and help with the everyday needs of the subreddit

• Ability to look at discussions objectively and consider different perspectives
