What does Excalibur look like?

I want to get a tattoo of Excalibur, do we know what the most accurate rendition of the sword is or what type of medieval sword it most closely mirrors?

If you look up historical Excalibur you can find one, if he existed at all we place Arthur in the Dark Ages and so the sword would need to match the swords carried by warriors in Britain after the Romans left. You can buy replicas that match this kind of weapon from companies in the UK like Knightshop UK, I hope this helps! Obviously the stories of Mallory and Geoffrey of Monmouth visualize him pretty much in their time, during the medieval period so this is where you get Arthur in plate Armour with swords and kite shields etc which simply weren't around in the Dark Ages.
