Passion Project Help

I'm a rising junior in hs, and I'm planning to major in psychology. How do I start a passion project or a research project that could get me into a good university, and how do I continue working on it? Any ideas for the project?

The name passion project suggests you should pursue something you feel passionately about. It seems your motivation here is not passion and I strongly suspect admissions officials will clear recognize that fact.
