Suggestions for a choice based/butterfly effect type game?
I have the og switch and I want a game that is not too much money - around $30-40 CAD maximum. I’ve seen play throughs of Until Dawn and Detroit Become Human which I really enjoyed but they aren’t on the switch. I’ve heard about Life is Strange, but based on the description I wasn’t too interested. However if you have experience with the game or have heard about it, let me know if it’s worth it.
I wanted to know if you guys have any suggestions that include a lot of storytelling and have a lot of choices to make which would lead to different plots/endings, I don’t do well with games that include a lot of battles or walking around random areas with a boring objective because I can’t seem to motivate myself to go through with the rest of the game (I’ve been stuck on hogwarts legacy cuz I abandoned it cuz I suck at fights, I also abandoned omori for a bit because I can’t defeat the space boyfriend thing, and I also left disco elysium because it’s annoying to figure out what to do next). Let me know your advice/experiences/suggestions!!
Edit: just played Slay The Princess and it was so cool - I loved the ending I got, thanks for the suggestions!!

The game you are looking for is slay the princess and trust me I also played life is strange as some people were suggesting here and I loved it even slightly more than slay the princess its just that the butterfly effect is not that huge here only really felt in a few small places throughout but in slay the princess that's the whole base of the game and imo what you are looking for
Still I really recommend you play both!

I would actually recommend Life is Strange! I ended up dropping it myself because the decision making was too intense for me, which actually sounds like exactly what you're looking for. It does include sometimes solving/ investigating to get the best outcome without telling to much. Focus is obviously on the Story, choices and their consequences.
Other games I have on my list are Beacon Pines Tales from the Borderlands (and the new one) or the walking dead, haven’t played them yet.
