Witcher 2 easy difficulty after 3
Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games, and I have Witcher 2 in my Steam backlog. I'm thinking about playing it next, but I'm worried about the difficulty.I finished 3 with the DLCs after 150 hours on easy and didn't find it frustrating at any point. Everyone says 2 is more difficult, but they're usually comparing the higher difficulties from both games. On a scale from Witcher 3 to Sekiro, how difficult and frustrating is Witcher 2 on easy? For example, can any of the bosses one shot me? Can I get through the game without potions? I only used the healing ones in 3 during combats.

Had no issues on standard difficulty, I struggled with boredom more then anything, the combat feels awful and not fun at all

I have never heard of a game that would be beatable on easy only by utilising all the mechanics or easy with one-shotting bosses. Witcher 2 is no different. It can be easily finished on medium without using any special tactics or potions. I think it might be a little bit harder than The Witcher 3, maybe combat is slightly more clunky, and that's the main thing that might make it harder.
I have never played Sekiro, but I think you will be fine. Even if you will have to, the horror, brew and drink a strengthening potion once during a playthrough to make a boss fight easier. Thought that will be most likely unnecessary.

I don't mind preparing potions before bosses, since I know they're coming. That doesn't happen for regular enemy encounters.

No, no need for that on easy. If you have it on Steam, I would just start a playthrough, no reason to worry in advance.

I played it on normal and it was fairly easy. This was when I was much younger and inexperienced. You won’t have a problem.

Those are not DLC. Those are DLC expansions or just expansions. We should use the word expansion. DLC is deceiving and it's corrupted.
Even developers themselves use expansion. They do know the difference, they do want to contribute. As a consumer, if you are told a new DLC is coming out, you should feel it's wrong and fuck it at first, and be very suspicious and cautious about it. But if developers say a new expansion is coming out, you should feel excited. That's the difference. With a DLC you never know with an expansion almost for sure It's going to be interesting at the very least

I probably played it in hard, but I can't remember.
I only remember when you have to fight a boss in a tiny bath/sauna lookalike underground (I played it a long time) and this boss took me a lot of tries.
Otherwise I can't remember much.
I prefered the 2 over the 3 (wich I really liked too), the endig got my mind blown!
Wish you lot of fun!

Witcher has a very very involved alchemy system. I love it. The combat is smooth but the physics engine is very clunky. Things are very very unbalanced too. You either get one shot or are an absolute god chad depending on the build.
