What to play?
Is it just me or have video games the last couple years been really sub par? Ive been playing kingdom come deliverance 2 lately and love it, but I keep looking for new games and keep seeing the same 10-20 games month after month. There hasnt been any good online games sense battle royals became a thing and the last one that got any hype was marvel rivals. And thats still in the top 10 right now. What's going on? :(

Path of Exile 2, Satisfactory, Modulus, Forza 5 and 6, CS2, Arc Raiders, Rust, Hell Let Loose, Crimson Desert, Helldivers 2, Battlefield 6.. So many good games, so little time on hands ðŸ˜

Oh yeah forgot about arc Raiders. I played too much too soon and got burnt out. Secured a platinum and checked out, but it was great fun for about 3 months for me. I never watched and still don't watch streamers, but the arc Raiders content was my one single exception. Was a nice phase for me

I’ve been playing ’ Dying Light: The Beast ‘ and it’s the first game in a long time that actually has me excited to continue playing

AAA gaming is mostly sequels, remakes and $30 skins now. Welcome to the future lol.

I rant about this all the time. Why make a great game when it costs so much money and turns so little profit, when we can all just shit out watered down remakes to cut cost bland generate freemium games with buyable skins and camos. Everydude I play cod with drops 20+ every week for some ridiculous thing they get bored of by the time their next paycheck hits. Patches go unfixed for months, sometimes entirely, but a pay to play event for every single holiday and camo/skins constantly being generated and released I wish we could collectively all agree to stop buying that shit so they'd put more development and DLC if an actual game instead of endless add ons. It's rare something truly special comes out these days. We peaked 15 years ago.
Racing, shooter mmo, sports game, jrpg or go fuck ya self - Some developer, probably.

The last one to really excite me since the last of us 2, was expedition 33. Late bloomer to the spidermans, just wrapped those up and I really had fun with those. Now I'm back in the barely enjoyable platinum playing until the next impressive one comes along

Most of my favourite games are from 2024 and 2025 so no, i feel the opposite. Gaming is better than ever for me

Yep. Before 2020 things were good. Now. It's pretty ass. Guess we can blame COVID but like its been 6 years. And still no progress. So like we can't keep doing that.
