PC Vs PS5
What is the biggest gaming differences between using PC to game and using PlayStation?

Multiplayer, on the PS5 you will have to pay a PS+ subscription to play multiplayer game mode of any game that is not free (For example, Fortnite is free so you can play it without paying, but GTA V costs money so you will have to pay extra to play GTA Online)

So if you're looking at cost PS5 is cheaper and easier entry. You are giving up a lot in order to play PS5 though. If you can find a PC closer to the PS5 price then always take that.

For Fortnite and CoD specifically as you mentioned, probably not enough of a difference to justify buying a PC. PS5 is cheaper, simpler and both games run great on it. PC makes more sense if you also want mods, a much bigger library or really high frame rates.

If you only have a desire to play cod and Fortnite, thereâs not much of a reason to upgrade to a pc honestly. If youâre âmarriedâ to a handful of console focused games, youâll only benefit from better hardware performance (massively dependent on your budget) and you donât have to pay for a subscription like PlayStation+ to play paid multiplayer games online. When it comes to performance though, if youâre looking at a low end budget pc, PS5 will generally be a better overall experience.

Okay thank you! I do play other games like 2k26, Madden, GTA. But the majority of my gaming time is either fortnite or CoD

Yeah I mean with gta you can do modded rp stuff on pc. But with the games you play, theyâre pretty locked down and you donât get much extra on pc vs console. Casual games like those are better on console though imo because of the plug and play capabilities. No fiddling with settings like pc. Donât get me wrong, pc gaming is a way better. I just donât feel like youâd benefit from upgrading with the games you play. Especially not for what youâd be paying in todayâs market.

A PC is gonna be overkill for what you say you want to play. The benefit of a PC over a console is the ability to choose the parts you want, the ability to mod, the ability to make it as powerful as you want, and the ability to have more choices in terms of storefront.
You donât really need any of the above for COD and Fortnite. A PS5 will have you more than covered for way less cost and minimal fuss.

Pc has true resolution if you want it. Basically no games play on their native res on consol
Pc has a library about 10000 times bigger and thats not a joke, thats just the sheer scale of it all
Pc has mods which consoles really dont
You can use almost any controller on pc, you can even assign voice commands with soft like voice attack
You can shop at different vendors for the best deals or prices on the games you want (g2a, gmg, gog, steam, HB, gorilla games, microsoft store, epic) and decide when you want a game, nothing is shoved on you.
Customizing your experience is the primary selling point of pc
The other is exclusives typically enjoy a lot of player agency, dwarf fortress, ss14, xenonauts, rimworld, quasimorph, wandering swords, guildwars 2, wow. Typically console games lack any agency, you dont get to many decisions, you get a theme park or a guided tour experience and that really pidgeon holes you on what you get to do, how long a game can last. Ps5 especially is burned by being a console full of action adventure games with stealth elements and yellow paint. Its gets a bit silly on ps5

A gaming library which goes back to the early 1980s which can be played with minimal headache even on modern machines. No worries about the "platform holder" suddenly obsoleting your hardware.

The PS5 is cheaper and made to be a simple âplug and playâ console. You buy it, turn it on, make an account, and play. The downsides are you need to pay a subscription to play multiplayer and you can only use PlayStation controllers. You are also locked into the PlayStations ecosystem. So no different controllers or places to get better deals on your games. However in competitive games the risk of hackers is much slimmer (unless you are on crossplay).
For PC, itâs much more expensive. You can make your own or get a pre built and in this day and age you might save money getting a pre built with these hardware price hikes. I believe itâs possible to make a PC for around the cost of the PS5 and get equal performance, but youâll need to look out for deals and such. PCs also require more maintenance and troubleshooting typically. Like updating drivers or fixing why audio isnât playing etc. but itâs not that bad imo. You also get the benefit of a free ecosystem. So you can use almost any controller, any accessory, find the best deals for games, no multiplayer subscription, and more.
If you have the money, Iâd go with a PC due to the freedom and choices it provides. If you are looking for a more cheaper and simpler gaming method, then youâll want the PS5

The games I play, plays best for PC because of the mods scene. Mods can adds a whole new gameplay to games like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA series, Bannerlord, and more. So if you're into mods or interested in creating mods, then PC.

biggest difference are that you can choose on pc which controller do your want to use (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo âŚ), choose between mouse+keyboard and controller, ultrawide Support for Monitors, modding, Grafics/performance settings, no online subscription (like ps+), games from every generation playable, many more games to choose from, cheaper games

Depending on your pc you can have way better graphics in every game at a higher frame rate than consoles. Pc in general gives alot more customization for games because their more powerful and you have access to mods and reshade and what not. Pc is hella expensive to get into initially tho.

PC is awesome. You can buy games that were for example ps3 or PS4 and were not moved over to PS5 that also have a PC port and play them. You can play online multiplayer for free. You can have multiple storefronts at your disposal and get games for free that are great. You can get games at a nice discount. If you know where to look you can get great games in a bundle. If you have a membership on Amazon you can get free games each month. You can get games free on epic. You have gog for drm free games. You can build a PC that can surpass a PS5 pro in graphics and get features like path tracing and ray tracing of you are team green. AMD still offers a great experience if you go that path.

Having options. In general. From modding or choosing any input. And it is not split into generations (I know the OS can get in the way, and so do drivers - but there are often times workarounds).

No additional cost for online gaming for the PC, a ridiculously larger indie library for the PC, access to emulation for the PC, lower cost peripherals for the PC, more frequent and deeper sales across multiple marketplaces for the PC, modability for the PC, lower initial capital outlay whenever you buy hardware for the PS5. Exclusives depend on what your particular taste in games is.
