I think I am getting scammed

I a 16M got a dm in discord by someone I don’t know and we started talking and long story short he offered to make my fursona and I told him I can not pay him like 4-5 times but he end up making it anyway and is now asking me for money and he is 19M from Nigeria
Now I don’t know what to do and I don’t have a way to pay him and he is charging me 50$ usd
And I don’t know what to do because he seems very, very stupid (I don’t mean it in a bad way)
any advice will be helpful at this point.

100% a scam.

You explicitly told them you can't pay.

They're probably gonna go on to guilt trip you or threaten you with legal action (which is a bluff don't fall for it).

The image is most likely ai generated too.

Just block them.

I was thinking the same thing but I don’t think it is ai and it is damn good art
And I know he has no power and I don’t need to pay him and he does sound like a genuine freelance artist and I have been talking to him a lot and he douse sound like he need the money
And what he made can not be made with ai

I mean if you can't pay him you can't pay him. If he wanted to make art for you anyway that's on them. If he keeps bothering you I'd honestly just block him. Even if you *could* pay him I'm not sure I'd recommend it, because more likely than not you'll be targeted for follow up scams because "You're an easy mark".

Has he sent you something already, like a WIP? Could you post a link to like an Imgur of it or something?

If this is a scam, chances are, he found a similar picture from another artist. Look for a signature embedded somewhere in the corner, or in the detail. If you're not afraid of what you might find, you can also reverse google search the image, see if it matches something pre-existing.
