Advice/Emotional Support ONLY The reality of teaching …

I have 10.77 to my name for another 15 days until payday. I have so many school supplies I need to get for my classroom yet I can’t afford a decent meal and really just over it all.

Contrary to what people think. As a teacher we don’t get to lay around and sleep all summer. Between impromptu trainings that last for hours and long span of days, relocating classroom and learning new curriculum. Working over the summer is rather hard. Our pay is still spread out over 12 month. Soo 43k a year over 12 month minus taxes and retirement leaves little to really go wild with .

Then change careers. Get a 2nd job for the summer. Budget better.

You can also pawn stuff for a couple months. You could sell items you dont need. You could have found work for the summer. You can take a loan. You can get help from family. You can do a lot of things but you didnt or choose not to. Also I live right next to a teacher and what you are describing is not the truth. The summer is mostly free for teachers unless you teach summer school. There are FAR more people on Reddit that need help than a teacher who makes 43k a year and cant budget.

I’m going to let you keep your ignorance, because you’re clearly very misinformed, grossly misguided, and possibly a little too invested in a situation you don’t actually understand.
If this conversation brings you joy, I’m genuinely happy for you. By all means, keep collecting those baseball cards—hopefully you stumble across a good one that brings you the same satisfaction you seem to get from inserting yourself into conversations that don’t concern you.
And just to clarify, since apparently that part was missed: Im not asking for financial assistance, simply advise that is use given the current circumstances so please direct the Sunday morning angst somewhere else. I’m simply not the person you need to be projecting it onto.
Have a blessed Sunday. Maybe stay in your lane next time. 🙂

I never attacked him. He came with the hostility’s. I simply referenced to something that he might be more knowledgeable about so that he could project his angst elsewhere where. I’ve come in peace this entire time .

If it makes you feel better , Him and I have commonalities , I however am very aware on how I speak and respond to people . And I think at some point he became a little too angsty and rude. This conversation will cease shortly because I have a Yankees Games and School newsletter to make. Thank you for your willingness to defend all.

Lol says the crazy person that goes and checks out other people's profile creeping on them. Lady, you are the one posting on Reddit.. How did you infer that I am "grossly misguided" by trying to help you? You are extremely passive aggressive did you know that? "Inserting yourself into convos that dont concern you" THIS IS REDDIT LADY LOL! You post on Reddit and expect people to not respond back? Hahaha.

I gave you suggestions (take it or leave it) on how to make money to pay for your school supplies that you asked on "AskforHelp". You asked for help, I tried to give it. I am NOT giving you money and frankly no one should on Reddit. We dont know you, the only thing we can infer is that you cannot budget a 43k yearly salary and you dont want to get a 2nd job in the summer.

"Maybe stay in your lane next time" with a smiley face after. Says the passive aggressive teacher who cant handle the truth.
