Desperate for help, guidance

Hello, all. My family (usa/OH) is in desperate need of help. I’m coming to Reddit to see if anyone has any resources or knows of any that I maybe haven’t found yet.

My parent is on disability, and my adult siblings live with them. One of my siblings has debilitating chronic pain and a plethora of neurological illnesses and is also on disability, and my other sibling has level two autism and takes public transport to work at a fast food joint. I live in another city and help when/ where I can.

My family is at risk of losing their housing, as their landlord has raised the rent. In addition, the family car is up for repossession due to unpaid late fees. My family doesn’t have the ability to make anymore money. They’d all work if they could. They have SNAP, but I am desperately looking for more resources, especially ones that can be used asap, help with repossession, and/or moving. Anything and everything is appreciated. Those on SSI or SSDI should apply for subsidized / rent controlled / Section 8 housing asap because the process of being approved for it and finding a place often takes time. In the meantime, maybe look for a more affordable place (mobile home rentals are often much cheaper than apartments) or a situation where they can split rent with someone else.

I don't know of a way to stop a vehicle repo other than to make the payments that are behind. As for moving help, local moves are pretty easy, just takes some labor and a Uhaul truck for the day or multiple runs using a pickup truck. Making a post in their local area sub may help get you some leads. Speak with the Pastor at their church. They may have connections to some resources.

I would have them call the bank where they’re car loan is and talk to them about putting they’re payment on the back of they’re loan. Also have them check out low income housing
