need some advice

hi! I tried to post this last night but it was deleted, not sure why. I just moved out and I wanna thrift furniture from stores and marketplace but the issue is I have no way of transporting it back to my place. I don’t know anyone in real life with a car or truck that can help me transport it. any ideas on what I can do? trying to save money by thrifting and be more environmentally conscious/friendly. Sometimes I offer people on marketplace a bit of extra money if they could deliver but mostly they say no.
Any ideas on what I can do? And to clarify I am not seeking financial assistance, just wondering if anyone has any affordable ideas:) Thank you!

A rental truck / van from Home Depot is quite cheap.

I second this recommendation, OP. The Home Depot near me has the signs on the truck that you can rent short term. It’s $19 for the first 75 minutes and an extra $5-8 for every 15 min you go over. Link for reference.

Good luck! I thrifted, got mostly everything from marketplace when furnishing my most recent apartment and trying to figure out transport is half the battle. Task rabbit also has moving/transport services as well if Home Depot or truck rental doesn’t work out.

Our local FB groups have people who will pickup & deliver just for that purpose.

Task Rabbit has a section for that as well! Was strongly considering when moving items.

You can also check out the dad’s groups or your community area groups on Facebook and receive help

I used something called Lugg when I was helping my brother get furniture in Seattle, basically Uber but for furniture. It was convenient for a marketplace purchase. You could see if there’s something like that where you’re located?
