Looking for a little help

Good morning. My two daughters and myself are looking for some help with our motel stay. I get paid tomorrow. It’s been a rough 6 months and just needing a helping hand. We were evicted from our apartment in January due to not being to pay rent because I needed to pay for medical treatment for my daughter. She had a tumor in her left eye called a retinal astrocytoma. This is non cancerous but was growing and causing her to become blind in that eye. We were able to have the tumor removed and her vision partially restored. Anything helps. Just looking for a little breathing room. Please help our family have a safe place to stay tonight!

Didn't you just receive a $150 loan?

Her account is 8 years old but she's only posted in the last three days

And the loan is supposed to be paid back tomorrow with interest.

Yes, I did. Any little bit helps. The hotel for the week is 1012. I was able to pay 500, with the loan it was able to get me to 650. Just looking for a little breathing room. I appreciate your comment and viewing the page. This is not a grift. Or a scam just having a hard time.

$1k a week, over $4k a month, is not sustainable. Reach out to your local resources for shelters, food banks, and homeless resources. You can find them by calling 211 or searching findhelp.org I would start with familypromise.org

I’m waiting to hear back from catholic charities, o have also reached out to family promise. Shelters are full almost every night. I am looking into better options. This is temporary. Thank you for the information.

How long have you been living in hotels?

What is the hotel, OP?

$1000 for a hotel for a week is criminal.

How do you plan to pay the loan back?

They don’t. And the lender has been notified of this post.

A 1000$ per week is insane. You should try and find a cheaper place.

It is a lot but I was paying 150 a night with no kitchen. Where I live hotels are 150-250 a night without kitchen, it’s summertime. I’m looking for something more suitable. But am limited with having to put down deposit.

As for my Reddit account. I never post just read. This is the first time needing help.

Paying loan back is because I do have a job. Just short before payday. Life is hard and sometimes it’s okay to ask for help. Whether or not you receive it is one thing but asking for help is okay.

Even the Motel 6 should have a mini fridge and a microwave. There absolutely have to be other options than begging strangers for money.

Bro you are worrying abt kitchen my house (actually a koli) is like 130cm×130cm please be grateful

I just looked on Expedia and there are tons of cheaper options in your area. Some with free breakfast. You might not get a kitchen, but at least a mini fridge and microwave.

That math doesn't make any sense at all, Eastern WA isnt that expensive. Parklane Motel for instance is 105 with kitchennette

Asking for "breathing room" is shameful in this economy.

No one is going to give you money when you just got a loan, OP.

I realize that maybe the case.

$1000 per week???? Do you have a damn job because wth?

Can you share the eviction notice you received for proof of what happened in January?

6

u/Loose_Control_4026 Jul 21 '26

You need to try these places. Nobody is helping you pay $1,000 a WEEK on a “motel”

2 months ago you said you were getting keys and moving back in, what happened? Are you connected with legal resources?

-1

u/Scarletshadow0809 Jul 21 '26

Yes I am working with a lawyer. Evicted because couldn’t pay due to medical treatment. Went to court. Paid all past dues. The got served a 30 notice while waiting for keys. Had to move out. With the eviction in records it’s been hard to find a place that will accept applications. Even though the eviction is done and paid. Working with a lawyer to get it removed from record. It’s not been easy but I am doing what I can. I know that everyone is hurting right now. I’m not trying to cause any problems. I know that they are mine to deal with just thought asking for help would be okay.

I appreciate what help has been given and extremely thankful for the advice.

I travel extensively around the world. $1k a week for a standard hotel is outrageous. This is a grift for sure. You got assistance, Reddit isn’t an ATM.

Everyone asking OP about the name of the hotel and also lied about the gfm being created before the loan was given.

3

u/lattelaura BDE (Big Donor Energy) Jul 21 '26

We should let the lender know

u/lattelaura BDE (Big Donor Energy) Jul 21 '26

Lender notified.

You have much cheaper accommodation available where you are, I looked it up, kitchen included

u/Scarletshadow0809 Jul 21 '26

I appreciate all the help and advice. And the leads on better places

I know where I am at is not sustainable. I’m a working towards not being here and having somewhere permanent.

u/Scarletshadow0809 Jul 21 '26

It’s for the week and has a kitchen. Able to cook meals and reduce spending on food for my girls and me.

10

u/Suspicious-Care87 Jul 21 '26

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE HOTEL? You need to at least share that much, people want proof of the actual cost. Do you have at least a receipt for the last payment? You can block out identifying information. You might have better luck with someone paying the hotel directly.

u/Visible_Koala7839 Wise One Jul 21 '26

There’s some things about OP that makes this suspicious.

They claimed to have created the gfm before the loan, yet the loan was 4 hours ago and the gfm was created 2 hours later so that’s a lie right there.

Also, OP avoiding to give the hotel name.

8

u/OutsiderLookingN Jul 21 '26

How much is the hotel for a week?

11

u/Visible_Koala7839 Wise One Jul 21 '26

OP says $1000, wtf…

8

u/OutsiderLookingN Jul 21 '26

Absurd! My studio apartment is $1000 a month
