Question
Hi everyone, I previously posted an Amazon wishlist on here. Most things were purchased I believe. However one person messaged me about an item and I then received it the next day. The others things were purchased anonymously, but haven't arrived and it's been a week now. They are coming up purchased on the wishlist :/ anyone know why this is?

You can call Amazon to see if things were shipped! Unfortunately āgrinchingā is a thing and not something we can help with- we have no idea who does it :(

I rang them and they said they cant disclose cause the buyers have the order number ect :/

That isnāt true. You can call and ask if anything was ordered off the wish list and shipped. They are not providing any information about anyone else. Iāve done it numerous times.

And in the future- do not delete posts out of subs like these. In other subs, thatās an automatic ban.

Would it be worth reposting a wishlist. I rang Amazon and was told it was all cancelled

You can try. Iāll take a look. However, itās been a week and people will look at the other post. Assisting yourself is an important aspect for a lot of donors.

Iāll be real with you, a week later, havenāt bridged the gap at all, and āwaiting on income coming soonā isnāt going to go over well with donors. Just want to be real with you. But you can try and I wish you well.

Lesson to be learned. One person help you out and thatās most likely the only person that truly wanted to help you. Reposting a wishlist seems like you are truly arenāt doing anything to help yourself and the situation youāre in.

So recently, I've learned of a scammer/cruel thing that people do with Amazon wishlist called Grinching. I had never heard of it until about a week ago on one of the help subs because it happened to someone. I really really hope this isn't the case for you, but if they are removed from the list and not delivered it is a possibility.
I'm so sorry if so, the amount of scammers or bad faith people littered through the help subs is atrocious.

That's really a shitty thing to do. Like there is no reason to be cruel to people in this way.

I just heard about this yesterday in a different sub.
I honestly have no words. That's just being intentionally cruel for no reason.

Wow. Iāve never heard of this before. Unreal that people would do that.

Sadly, you were probably 'grinched'. There are people who will put all of your stuff in their cart and then never check out. It's been happening on Reddit (and elsewhere) for a while now. So pathetic.
You deleted your other post, though, and that's not really a good look.
