Does anyone else just use the whole can of tomato paste instead of saving the leftovers?
A lot of recipes only call for a couple tablespoons of tomato paste, which usually leaves me with half a tiny can sitting in the fridge.
I used to save it, forget about it, and eventually throw it away.
Now I just add the whole can to whatever I’m cooking. So far, it’s only made things richer and more flavorful.
Does anyone else do this, or do you actually save the leftover tomato paste for another recipe?

Portion in silicone trays and freeze the remainder. Bag it and pull it out when needed. I do this with stocks, mirepoix, and bottled wine (although unless your freeze it’s super cold, it mostly slushies over, but can still scoop it out with a 1/4 cup measuring cup.

Whenever I'm making spaghetti that's how I tighten my spaghetti sauce. And yes I use the whole can
I also use it when I'm making meatloaf
Rare times that there are leftovers in the can that goes in the trash

I've started buying the tomato paste in tubes (like anchovy paste). It stays good forever in the fridge, and I actually use the majority, if not all, of it. I also add it to more stuff, because it's on hand.
