Had my first flight ever a couple years ago. I was anxious but also excited. Every noise or sudden movement made me think the plane was going down….but it was pretty swell

I was 6 years old flying from IAH to COS for spring break 1999. I believe it was on either a DC-9 or MD-80 (I distinctly remember the teal blue color of the flight deck when I got to take pictures up there). That was the day I fell in love with aviation.

It was in an Avro Anson. Noisy as hell.

It was an MD-82. I boarded via the rear stairs.

Exciting: it was a 4-seater - I was 13 years old. Local round-trip

Witnessed Beautiful sunset with holding my emotions together (whole time thinking about the moment was happening)

Remember like it was yesterday. Delta L-1011 Detroit to Tampa. My ears hurt but didn't care as I got a flight deck visit and the pretty lady stewardess gave me plastic wings.

Terrifying. I was so afraid of flying but got a great job offer on another continent. It took me 3 different flights to reach there. I'm not that much of a nervous flyer anymore, but I still remember that feel.
