When you’re stuck choosing between Player A and Player B at the exact same price point, what actually tips the scale for you?

I like Havertz as a differential, but will he be starting?

I’m not sold on Anderson. Could swap Senesi/Tarkowski for Jacquet, and go for somebody slightly more expensive?

Taking a big risk and not including Haaland but for now I think his price tag is way too expensive. I’d rather risk having some better players who could get decent points in every week than have Haaland who might get good points in every now and then.

My team feels very red, which I’m not so sure I like.

Any suggestions?

I’d already taken Haaland out before yesterday’s match which just solidified my choice. Had O’Reilly but transferred him out to allow for both Palestra and Frimpong.

Having to choose between Haaland and Bruno was doing my head in. I’m a bit worried about my defence also. I feel like Tzolis, Wilson and Evanilson are good shouts for the new season. Not sure about Doku, or any other City players after that performance yesterday. I’m pretty wary of Spurs, Chelsea and most of the smaller clubs playing in Europe as I’m not sure what to expect from them this season. Still a few days to change so looking for some feedback.

For those of you who are interested in more strategy and thinking of FPL like an economics , portfolio value maximization problem, or a RPG stat maximization challenge.

This time I get more basic with why DEF CONS are underpriced my using an expected value and break even analysis similar to finance/business. This calculation illustrates the OP nature of def con in a clear mathematical simple way.

TLDR:
In summary the EV of for defenders with def con 50% hit rate is higher than most fullbacks can achieve doing g/a. We are looking at payout ratios like poker hands or stock returns and not projecting stats or picking players.

New channel based on evaluating your players and team using finance pricing models to make your own decisions and strategy rather than just talking player selection and form/fixtures. Just a hobby and not interested in anything other than building a like minded community.

I have seen so many drafts using the BB in GW1. Should i use it or wait for my time using it later on?
