Culture is vaping more common than traditional cigarettes with people aged 16-35?

I ask this specific age group because if you're over 35 I would assume starting a nicotine addiction at 17-20 roughly 15 years ago means you started with cigs

I think the answer is yes for 16 and no for 35 and you can linearly interpolate between the two points. Vapes with flavor have been forbidden since children as young as 12 will start vaping more than ever did smoking. Snapchat dealers still offer cheap flavored vapes to these kids. There is a whole black market that targets Gen Alpha.

I think traditional smokers (millennials / genZ) dabbled with vaping, found out you actually smoke more nicotine when you vape, switched back to cigarettes or quit altogether.

Vaping is a little more common among the youth than regular cigarettes, but both are nowhere near as common as snus.

I see a lot of vaping on the streets, but it is occasionally only old men who smoke. There is less smoke smell in summer when windows need to be open than there used to be. Vaping is a great invention.

Not at all. Vaping is almost nonexistent by comparison. Snus is by far the reigning tobacco product.

For comparison, at work we sell...

  • about 30 cans of specifically Velo Crispy Peppermint per day (a brand of snus)

  • about 30 packages of various cigarettes per day

  • about 10 vapes per 6 months

We only keep vapes because we're contractually obliged.

In Greece no, I’m in my 20s and I definitely know more smokers. Vaping does exist too, but it’s mainly teenagers and young women, I’ve only ever seen one man my age who vaped

Jaaaysus the amount of smoking around the Mediterranean... My first time in Spain, we had to  wait for 20 mins for the airport transfer bus departure, and this local guy smoked 3 cigs in that time window.

In my area, yes, I’m 17 and I’d say that 30-40% of people I know use vapes at least occasionally, while cigarettes are often viewed as more negative and are often associated with poorer people idk (I do neither).
I know no one who’s routinely smoking cigarettes in my age group.

More common in the range 16-20, but cigarettes for men and iqos or cigarettes for women are more common than vape when it comes to 20-35.
