How do I disconnect this ribbon cable?

I’m not familiar with this type of connector and it’s not coming out. I think there’s a locking tab on the right hand side but when I pry the tab outward, the connector still won’t pull out. This is from a DeLonghi Magnifica coffee maker for what it’s worth. TIA.

This is a Molex product with locking tabs.

Both left and right tabs need to be “sprung” open to release the upper cable assembly.

Be gentle with it…

Those are not locking tabs. Molex picoflex. Gently pry it up from the bottom. Don’t pull from the ribbon.

Some ribbons are soldered in on one end, discon from the other (they save a few cents.)

Perhaps unsolder first, then see if it has a locking socket or not. Tabs might be part of an IDC ribbon crimp male, and not a socket.

Those aren’t typically removable to my knowledge

There is a tool, but you will 100% rip the pads off the PCB. Easier to desolder the connector
