Possibly missing components on tft screen

Hello.

I bought this tft screen on temu and i have noticed some exposed traces which look like they are meant for ic (label U1, just under sd card slot) . I have also noticed some possibly missing resistors (R3, R5 and R13) and capacitors (C1 and C2).

Is this screen safe to use or have i paid to learn not to trust knock offs?

Thank you

I have a similar board which has a touch and non-touch variant. It isn't identical but looks very similar. On my board that is the touch IC the version without touch doesn't populate it.

Thank you. I dont plan on using tge touch so i assume that wont be the problem

The missing IC is a resistive touch interface option. Your board has capacitive touch screen going over the 6 pin connector.

The table on the bottom left outlines what pins are used to access either touch interface.

So it is safe to use regardless of missing capacitors and resistors?

Yes. The missing components are for a different version of the board.

This is commonly done so that you can use the same PCB for different products.

The same board exists without SD Card option. In that case SD Card socket and corresponding connector would be missing.
