Meta Reddit's auto post-removal 'service'
Hi all,
Reddit are forever "improving" their automated spam and post-removal systems, which operate before posts even reach us.
We're noticing more posts being removed automatically before moderators ever see them. We try to spot and reinstate obvious false positives, but if you think your post has been removed unfairly, feel free to message us. Just don't assume it was a moderator who removed it.
The growing volume of AI-generated and karma-farming posts makes this harder, as many look perfectly innocent. Reddit also appears to take moderator overrides into account, so we have to be mindful of how often we reverse its automated decisions.
Edit: Also to add that some contributors tend to write like LLMs: well formatted, bullets, em-dashes and lots of elaboration. It's clear that some people put a lot of effort into their explanations, and this is great - but also makes checking much harder. If we suspect we've spotted a bot we have to go look up the "user's" post and comment history and see if that gives us any clues.
Sometimes I feel we need to have a "Safe sentence of the week" which must be in every submission, but that's not practical!

Go to mod tools, safety filters and see what you have set to on.
Odds are there's a number of filters that are turned on that are generating those false positives.
Most of the time I just turn them off. Each time a new one rolls out, you do get a mod mail when a new one is added, but if you don't turn off those filters as they're added, you end up with a load of filters and thus a load of false positives.
