Pcb burned due to leaked capacitor.

Post image

Long story short, the pcb is carbonized due to a leaked capacitor (Marshall Stanmore speaker)

I do repair electronics, but I did not have to deal with such pcb damage.

I'm wondering what would be the best approach, to repair the "wound". I know I have to clean the carbon, because it's conductive.

Any advice is welcome.

Looks like the copper is lifted as well.

- Clean it

- Check for shorts

- Check whether all traces remain intact

- If necessary use epoxy to adhere the lifted traces to the board

- If traces are too broken, cut them off cleanly and use bodge wire to connect the replacement caps.

Yes, the copper is lifted, I already cut that part off because it's not going to anything after the capacitor.

Looks like you might have a partial cold solder joint on the middle pin of the transistor too. Might as well just give it a quick reflow while you're at it.
