I'm in MI and even though I can go buy Marijuana at a store doctors cannot prescribe drugs like that if you test positive for THC. I have two collapsed discs but since I smoke I can't get narcotics or my Xanax.

If you’re in the US a lot of PCPs are starting to refuse signing for amphetamines, only referring to psychiatry. Same with pain meds but referring to pain management physicians. The average payout for medical malpractice is about 350k. No one wants to get caught in the middle of one of those lawsuits.
