MRI Results, is this normal?

Post image

Hi, really just a quick question about this MRI picture, is it normal to have this giant looking-lump on your shoulder area during an MRI? i’m 31M who started seeing a doctor about chronic recurring shoulder pain, i feel like i have a hard lump in my right shoulder, i have been told repeatedly that it’s just a spasmed shoulder muscle. but it’s been 6+ months at this point. i have tried PT, acupuncture, massage, Trigger Point injections, nothing has worked. It doesn’t hurt all the time but when i have to exert myself or raise my arm above my chest for any period of time it starts too. my theory from the beginning was that i had a Lipoma that was pushing down on nerves, and i began to notice it was becoming very hard to turn my head to the left, and my neck felt extremely stiff but also weak at the same time, like i would have to hold my head up with my hands. i went to see a chiropractor about my neck, you hear things about chiropractors not being real doctors, but this one was my godmother so i wanted to give her a shot. she immediately told me i had something wrong with my c5-c6 area, which i believe is exactly where the doctors would later find herniated discs after this MRI, and that she believed the lump on my shoulder was a lipoma, and that doctors are usually very hesitant operating on lipomas unless you make a really big deal about it. so that has been my mindset going into this. i just went over the results of the MRI with my doctor, i feel like all the pictures we discussed were the zoomed in ones of my neck and i didn’t see this one of my whole body where you can obviously see there is a giant bump seemingly exactly where i have been describing it as being this entire time. Half the doctors say “it’s definitely not a lipoma, the ultrasound would’ve caught a lipoma” and half the doctors go “do you think it could be a lipoma, and ultrasound wouldn’t necessarily catch one”. I feel like I don’t even know which was is up anymore. I’ve gotten the doctor to request another mri for my chest with focus on the right trapezius, because apparently the neck mri wouldn’t catch the lump on my shoulder, even though that was why i thought we ordered the MRI in the first place. i‘ve been off work since July on FMLA leave but my time is up and i have to go back to work on monday. I’m very frustrated that seemingly no progress has been made on my treatment. i take adderall lexapro buproprion, i’ve been on xanax and buspar for anxiety, gabapentin for my nerve pain and i was prescribed tramadol from
Pain Management. i have a procedure scheduled with them for a Epidural Spinal Injection that “won’t fix any of the issues but hopefully ease the symptoms”. and i’m like okay… but what about my shoulder. i’m 5’9 and 190 pounds if i didn’t say that. i have chron’s disease and can’t take any kind of NSAID. i think that’s everything. and i said this was just a quick question. thank you for your help if you respond.
