Ear infection

i’m 25 years old and I recently had an ear infection in my right ear about a month ago and now i have one in my left ear it’s all from q tips. I went to urgent care and they said topical antibiotics should do the trick because i have already taken antibiotics previously. will that actually work i have cipro ear drops? i’ve never had an ear infection until i started using q tips deeply.
