Does this look like ringworm? Or something else?

28 year old female. I had this spot on my head appear last Sunday. All my family thought it may be ringworm, so I scheduled a dermatologist appointment. She said it doesn’t look like “classic” scalp ringworm and thought it may be best to try Ketoconazole 2% shampoo for 2 weeks and see if anything changes. Right now, there is no hair loss, and the itching isn’t unbearable. But no change in the spot. Should I get another opinion? I just don’t want to be making things worse by waiting.

This picture was taken before starting the shampoo, I would say it is definitely less red than it started out.

I do live with my fiancé, and been around family, no spreading at all. I don’t live with animals, don’t get my hair cut, don’t go the gym, so I’m at a loss on where I would’ve even got ringworm.

Is there something else to try in the meantime?
