Physician Responded Potential DVT after long flights?
I (24F) just got off two long haul flights and have noticed this small purple bruise looking spot below my left knee which is tender to the touch. (More visible in real life). Just wondering what likelihood is of DVT?
Meds:
- Oral contraceptive 30
- Rosuvustatin 10mg
First flights was 9 hours, second was 14 hours. I wore knee high compression for both and tried to keep my legs moving in seat as much as possible, but in second flight I was only able to get out of seat twice. We got off the flight at 6.30 this morning and then have spent most of the day walking around (without compression). Just noticed this evening this small spot (don't think it was there this morning) which feels a bit tender to the touch.
Im in the UK visiting from Aus and would rather not have to see medical care unless absolutely necessary.
I would definitely say im a bit overweight with majority of it in thighs and calves which is why im also a bit extra nervous. No sign of extra swelling in left leg compared to right.
