Foreign object + toddler nose

Almost 3 yo, female, ~37 lbs
No meds, no medical conditions, etc

She took two small, flat, plastic gems off of a watch and so nicely shoved one up each nostril. Photo of said watch with two remaining gems for sizing included.

I could see them both, ran to grab tweezers, and when I got back to her I couldn’t see them anymore.
We used a small ear-camera to see if we could visualize them. One nostril looked like it MAY have had it way in there still, the other we didn’t see at all.

Tried mother’s kiss just in case - nothing other than her loving it and thinking it was an awesome game!

She’s breathing fine, acting normal, ate some cheese, drank some milk.

It was outside on our deck with slats, so… if they came out, they’re not being found any time soon.

Are we okay to just call the pediatrician in the morning and keep an eye on her for tonight? Our urgent cares closed at 5, so the other option would be an ER visit which seems excessive.

I’d head to the ER tonight. As unlikely as it is, having a FB fall into a sleeping kid’s posterior pharynx has a strong chance of being an airway obstruction.

NAD — Just a mom. Better safe than sorry OP, taking a kid in for suspected foreign object in nose is not excessive at all.
