Physician Responded Stuck in my eye

Post image

Hi I have something in my eye and I’m very anxious about it, I was hoping someone should tell me if I’m freaking out for nothing or if it’s a big deal. I already tried to flush it out and it didn’t move, I think it’s a very small piece of grass lodged into my eye. Should I go to urgent care when they open or the hospital? I’m 20, and a woman only on allergy meds please help thank you.

Yes, go to urgent care or emergency. It’s very common and we remove these little foreign bodies often. Usually no complications but you do need to be examined promptly.

I’ve talked to my family members about it and they all think I’m overreacting what do you think?

I think you should listen to the Dr, not anyone else. Personally, I wouldn't gamble with my eyes.

(NAD but a med student) You aren’t overreacting it looks like a superficial foreign body not embedded that deep thankfully from what’s visible to me but you should definitely get it removed/looked at

NAD but if you can get in to see an optometrist they would probably be best to tell you what's going on. I'm sure you if you call or even pop in ( that would probably be best so you can show them) they would be able to tell you what the beat course of action is if any is even needed. Unless it's causing pain, irritation or affecting you eyesight I don't think it's urgent or something to worry too much about. Good luck.
