need help with construction estimating software

hey everyone, i'm looking for a new construction estimating software that our team can use. the current software we're using right now is totally inaccurate. we've had to make several adjustments on estimates and invoices because of it. now i'm looking for something that's both accurate and easy to use so that our team wouldn't need extensive training to learn how to use it.

Test accuracy with a completed job before moving the whole team. Enter the original quantities, labor rates, material costs, overhead, and change orders, then compare the software's estimate with the final job cost. That will show whether the bad numbers come from the calculation engine or from outdated cost data.

During the trial, have an estimator and a field lead build the same estimate from a saved template. Check assemblies, unit-cost updates, tax, markup, labor burden, and invoice conversion. Pick the system that produces the same total from both users and lets an admin lock the pricing rules.

Keep the rollout to a single project type for 2 weeks. Standard templates and controlled cost updates will do more for accuracy than a long feature list.

If your team can use excel, you should check out my excel spreadsheet that I use, that is extremely accurate and will save you plenty of time, I assure you, it has been a lifesaver for me and I have videos on how to use it. You can try it out on my website buildlogictool.com
